IWC Tanjore is one club among 3979 clubs worldwide. Yes our International Inner wheel club contains 108614 members in 104 countries through 3979 clubs.
Our IWC Tanjore started in 23rd Feb 1973 by the efforts of PP Rtn. Mr. LAKSHMANDAS MEGARAJ with special guest of honour Mrs. SIVASHANKARI, the popular Tamil Writer and Activist. The Charter President of IWC of Tanjore was PDC. Mrs. VIJAYA SWAMINATHAN , Charter Secretary was PDC. Mrs. KALAIMAGAL SWAMINATHAN and the Charter Treasurer was PP.Mrs. BRINDA JAYARAMAN, along with PDC. Mrs. SUNDARI SUBRAMANIAM AND PP. Mrs. LAKSHMI ALBERT, 14 charter members were there in IWC of Tanjore .
Intially our IWC Tanjore was in dist 320 which had Kerala and Chennai. Later Kerala formed another club and Chennai club as dist 323. In 95-96 it split into 298.

District 298 Born, brought up and studied in Coimbatore, Shivkami is a home maker. She joined IWC Komarapalayam in 1998 as Vice President. She was twice club President where she organized a mega project of live talk show on Breast feeding with gynecologists with local cable operator. She telecasted Doctors speeches on Breast Feeding during World Breast Feeding Week through local FM Station , for which FM Station won award from Central Government for their service to the community. Shivkami joined District Executive committee in 2016-17 as District Editor, successfully completed posts of District Treasurer, District Secretary and District Vice Chairman. Her hobbies are cooking and baking. She is passionate about growing organic vegetables. Her husband Kandasamy is B.Tech engineer and they are blessed with two sons.
